Taboo On Acting Against Sexual Abuse In India

In economically developing countries like India, sexual abuse is a still far more tabooed topic than it is in Western countries.
Even though reformers are having a hard time changing attitudes in Western countries, there can be no doubt that India lags far behind in overcoming the cover up of sexual abuse.
One is always glad, though, to hear of breakthroughs occuring. That attempts are being made to overcome a tragic deficit is evident in the release of a major study sponsored by the current Manmohan Singh government. I have blogged information about this study:
