Shivraj Patil Falls From Home Ministry
Posted by Barry Pittard on December 2, 2008
Breaking NEWS. Shivraj Patil, a major follower of Sathya Sai Baba, has resigned as India’s Home Minister.
Grave questions have been asked about Patil’s competence and that of other high officials who were meant to be guarding India’s security.
Comment: Whichever Indian government is in power, Sathya Sai Baba has many devotees who are in all ranks to the highest pinnacle of power. The same is true for the armed services, the judiciary, business and finance, industry, the arts and sciences, and so forth.

See my entry of yesterday, revealing yet another of Sai Baba’s unfulfilled and preposterous prophecies. This time tragically unfulfilled. Yet this is the would-be King-of-Kings and Lord-of-Lords, in whom, like Shivraj Patil, countless of India’s key leaders put their faith:

Mumbai attacks probed as India-Pakistan relations strained
(CNN) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh accepted the resignation of Patil, the home minister, and immediately named Finance Minister P. Chidambaram to take over the post, according to a source in the prime minister’s office.
Patil, whose ministry oversees internal security, had been accused of failing to improve intelligence before the attacks, said N. Ram, editor-in-chief of The Hindu, a major Indian newspaper.
“This man has been widely criticized for not being up to it and it was simply impossible that he could stay on after this,” Ram said.

A glance at the following articles on this blogsite indicate that Sathya Sai Baba’s clout extends well beyond India. It is quite usual for those in high echelons of government in various countries to relate to us, e.g., our government has to go easily in regard to Sathya Sai Baba, not wanting to “rock the boat” with India:
